As with most models, you can display the data directly on your computer. I find it quite fascinating to spend time every day just looking through at my different cameras in order to see everything that is going on within my home. Actually, this is one of the biggest advantages of the modern systems. Being able to save huge amounts of data on a hard drive or even a back up drive system is excellent. It certainly beats the old days where we would pop in an old VHS tape and then it would loop over every
week or so. If we were really creative, maybe we used a different tape for each day of the week. In this case, it took about 7 weeks to start looping over. I even know one business that used 31 tapes, one for each day of the month. I would much rather explore other options.
Choose a wireless system, or even choose something with a combination of both. One option that I have also considered is the use of a generator as a backup, or even several generators as a backup.
